Friday, March 29th
CCSD will have a Professional Development day for all staff on
Friday, March 29th. Students should report back to school on Monday, April 1st
(really, no foolin’!).

scholarship is available from the Mike Rowe Works foundation. These
scholarships are not looking for high GPA’s and the most difficult classes…
instead they are looking for students who will work hard to earn an outstanding

Spring Break for CCSD will take place Monday, March 18th to Friday, March 22nd. Students
and Staff should report back to school bright and
early on Monday, March 25th.
Throughout this week, students will be taking the SCIENCE SBA test.
Please make sure you are not absent as this test is required for graduation.
Friday, March 15th, is the end of Quarter 3. Make sure
you are present all week to get your work turned in and complete any Final
Exams that might be required.

Daylight Savings Time is going to push our clocks FORWARD 1 hour on

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE PROCEDURES FOR KIRTLAND & NEWCOMB BUSSES
Students riding the bus from Newcomb will need to go
directly to the cafeteria to get their breakfast and go directly to class.
All classes will welcome students to eat breakfast. Newcomb students MAY NOT
eat breakfast anywhere else as too many students are taking too long to get to

Wednesday, February 13th, is a FULL
DAY of school. It is very important to be here all day and to ride the bus
if possible, as the number of students in school and using the busses will be
used to determine resources and funding for our schools next year.

Tuesday, February 5th from 11am to 7pm. This also means we will not

Student Photo Contest
Contest Description: The Central Consolidated School
District is pleased to announce the “About Your Neighborhood” photo contest.
The “About Your Neighborhood” photo contest would like students to submit two
photos, one photo highlighting the best about their neighborhood, and one photo
highlighting what needs work.
Entries should include:
-Name of student photographer
-Student contact Information
-A brief description of what the student photographer
chose to highlight and why.
Only original digital photos will be accepted. Photos
selected will be used in CCSD community improvement campaigns and will earn the
student photographer a gift card.
Entries can be submitted until January 15, 2019. Submit
