PARCC TESTING

We will begin PARCC testing immediately after Thanksgiving Break.

Testing will be school-wide on November 26th, 27th, and 28th, so please do not be absent and do not try to check out students from school.

Phoenix Automotive Techs Sweep Category at the Navajo Technical University Open House Competition!

Our Career Prep Phoenixes competed Thursday in Crownpoint, NM at Navajo Tech and three of them swept the podium in the Automotive category!

                    3rd place- Kristen Joe

Congressional App Challenge

Members of the United States Congress hold the Congressional App Challenge for kids in their Congressional district.

The challenge is to create an app to fill a need, solve a problem, play a game, or anything else you can think of…

Winners will get some sweet perks and NATIONAL RECOGNITION! WooHoo!

The next session of CareerPrep@Night will include:

The ACT course will be worth 0.5 elective credit and is just as good as, if not better than, the $1,000 “review” courses you can take! Also, if you complete the course, you can use the TI-84 calculator you check out during the class to take the ACT test. CCSD Public Hearings for Input to Help Native American Students

On the following days, Public Hearings will be held on the following topics:

     Johnson O’Malley

     Title IV Programs

     Impact Aid

     Indian Policies & Procedures

     Federal Programs

     Native American Students Assessment Performance Reports

     PARCC

     District Goals and Initiatives

The hearings will be held at several locations and times, including

October 29th at the Shiprock PAC.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences will happen for CCSD High Schools on Thursday, October 25th.

.

There will be NO SCHOOL on this day.

.

Conferences will take place 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The Last Day of Quarter 1 is Friday, October 12th

The 2019 graduation dates have been changed because the Sports State Play-offs are taking place from May 15 to May 18 for Baseball, Softball and Track.

May 24 Shiprock High Graduation @ 7:00 PM

May 25 Kirtland High School Graduation @ 10:00 AM

NO SCHOOL 10/5 and 10/8- It’s time for the 2018 Northern Navajo Nation Fair!

There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 5th and Monday, October 8th because of the Northern Navajo Nation Fair and the CCSD Fall Break.

Student Council

Elections for Student Council officers take place on Friday, September 28th.

Each grade level will elect a President, Vice President, and Secretary.

To run for office, you need to submit an application and grade check to Mr. Manus by Friday, September 21st.

If you are a candidate, start campaigning, and find out what your constituents are interested in at CPHS!
