Central Consolidated School District #22 (CCSD) serves approximately 4,200 students across 15 schools in the Four Corners region of northwest New Mexico, including communities in Shiprock, Newcomb, Naschitti, Ojo Amarillo and Kirtland. As one of New Mexico's largest rural school districts by geography, CCSD is home to a richly diverse student body with a predominantly Native American population — and our programs reflect that identity.
We offer a wide range of educational pathways to meet every student's needs, including Navajo/English dual language programs, comprehensive Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways across all four high schools, special education and gifted services, athletics, fine arts, and more. Our curriculum is shaped by a commitment to culturally responsive education that honors Navajo language, culture, and community values.
