ICO Social Workers are licensed mental health professionals in CCSD schools who bridge the gap between home, school, and community to support academic and emotional success. We provide direct individual and group based services such as:

  • Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing: Provide individual and group counseling, therapy, and crisis intervention for abuse, neglect, grief and self-harm.
  • Behavioral & Social Challenges: Deal with behavioral dysregulation, anxiety, impulse control, attention problems, isolation, depression, bullying (including on social media), peer conflict, and substance use (drugs/vaping).
  • Case Management & Advocacy: Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop behavioral intervention plans, and act as advocates for students and their immediate families to address systemic barriers.
  • Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams (teachers, administrators, psychologists) and area resources (tribal, State, federal, non-profit) to support students/family needs and improve school climate.
  • Preventive Services: Offer classroom, community, and virtual presentations, as well as community based outreach and skill-building initiatives.
